Sales Associate

L.L.Bean is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Sales Associate to deliver exceptional in-store experiences in our retail locations. In this role, you'll welcome customers, learn their outdoor needs, and recommend apparel, footwear, and gear that fit their lifestyle and adventures. You'll handle transactions, returns, and product exchanges accurately while maintaining merchandising standards, restocking shelves, and keeping the sales floor clean, organized, and engaging. You'll also learn L.L.Bean's heritage, products, and sustainability initiatives so you can share our story and help customers enjoy the outdoors comfortably and responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide attentive, personalized service on the sales floor
• Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate apparel, footwear, and outdoor gear
• Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately using POS systems
• Maintain merchandising standards, including stocking, folding, and product displays
• Keep sales floor and fitting rooms clean, organized, and inviting
• Share product knowledge, brand heritage, and sustainability initiatives with customers
• Support inventory counts, restocking, and backroom organization
• Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals while upholding service standards
• Assist with in-store promotions and seasonal floor set changes
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth, efficient store experience
