Local CDL-A Truck Driver

Loudon County Trucking is hiring Local CDL A Truck Drivers to support regional freight operations. In this role, you'll haul dry van or flatbed freight on predictable local routes, returning home daily or most nights. Safely operate late model tractors, conduct thorough pre and post trip inspections, and follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards. You'll manage accurate logs, communicate clearly with dispatch, and provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery sites. Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL-A tractor-trailer on local and regional routes
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT standards
• Comply with all FMCSA, DOT, and company safety regulations and policies
• Secure and handle freight properly, including loading and unloading as needed
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and required documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and yard personnel
• Adhere to route schedules to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
• Report equipment issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance
• Provide professional, courteous customer service at delivery sites
• Follow company procedures for incident reporting and cargo claims
