Local CDL-A Truck Driver

Loudon County Trucking is hiring Local CDL A Truck Drivers to haul regional freight with daily home time. In this role, you'll safely operate late model tractors and trailers, complete local pickups and deliveries, and manage required logs and inspections. Routes are planned for consistent miles, steady pay, and predictable schedules. We emphasize professional conduct, DOT compliance, preventive equipment checks, and courteous customer service at docks and yards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL A tractor trailer on local and regional routes
• Perform pre trip and post trip inspections and complete required documentation
• Comply with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations and hours of service rules
• Pick up and deliver freight on time to customers, terminals, and distribution centers
• Secure, tarp, and/or strap loads as required to prevent damage in transit
• Maintain accurate electronic logs, bills of lading, and delivery paperwork
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays, issues, and route changes
• Provide professional, courteous service at docks, yards, and customer sites
• Report equipment defects and coordinate maintenance with shop personnel
• Follow company policies for fuel efficiency, routing, and safe driving practices
