Local CDL-A Truck Driver

Loudon County Trucking is hiring Local CDL-A Truck Drivers to haul regional freight with daily home time. In this role, you'll operate late-model tractors and dry vans, safely transporting loads between customer locations, terminals, and distribution centers. You'll complete pre- and post-trip inspections, follow DOT and company safety standards, and maintain accurate logs and delivery paperwork. Drivers work closely with dispatch and customers, representing our commitment to reliability, on-time service, and professionalism while enjoying steady freight, competitive pay, and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL-A tractor-trailer for local and regional freight hauls
• Perform required pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
• Load, secure, and unload freight as needed to prevent damage
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers
• Plan routes to meet scheduled pickup and delivery times
• Report equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as required
• Represent the company professionally with customers and the public
• Follow company policies for fuel, hours of service, and reporting
