Commercial Door Technician

DH Pace, a national leader in commercial and residential door, dock, and security systems, is seeking a Commercial Door Technician in the construction industry. In this field role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial doors, operators, security grilles, and related hardware at customer sites. You'll interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials, and use hand and power tools safely while following OSHA and company safety standards. Work closely with contractors and facility managers, provide clear communication and documentation, and deliver reliable, high-quality service. Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial doors, operators, and related hardware at customer sites
• Perform troubleshooting, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on door and dock systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical diagrams
• Use hand and power tools safely in accordance with OSHA and company standards
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials to specification for installations
• Complete accurate service tickets, documentation, and customer sign-offs
• Communicate effectively with contractors, facility managers, and internal teams
• Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and site rules at all times
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in good working order
• Support on-call or emergency service as needed to meet customer needs
