Plant Inventory Specialist

Drax is seeking a Plant Inventory Specialist to support reliable, low carbon power generation by managing inventory at our biomass facility. In this on site role, you'll maintain accurate records for biomass, fuel, and critical spare parts, perform cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies across CMMS/ERP systems. You'll coordinate receipts, transfers, and shipments, monitor stock levels, and partner with maintenance, operations, and procurement to forecast needs. Operating in a safety first culture, you'll uphold environmental and audit standards while driving continuous improvement in inventory controls and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for biomass, fuel, and critical spares
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile variances with operations and finance
• Coordinate material receipts, transfers, and shipments with logistics
• Monitor stock levels and trigger replenishment to avoid stockouts
• Work within CMMS/ERP systems to track parts usage and work orders
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to forecast material needs
• Ensure inventory handling complies with safety and environmental standards
• Prepare inventory reports, KPIs, and audit documentation
• Support continuous improvement of inventory processes and controls
• Liaise with vendors and procurement on lead times and delivery issues
