UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join their team. The hospital is a member of the Western Maryland Health System, providing healthcare services to residents in Allegany and Garrett Counties in Maryland, and surrounding counties in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
  • Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
  • Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
  • Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
  • Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Compensation

  • Salary: $625K
  • Chief Stipend: $50K
  • Sign on Incentive: $75K

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • TEE proficiency is required
  • Completion of Cardiac Fellowship
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
