CDL Trainee

Waste Connections is hiring a CDL Trainee to join our safety-focused solid waste team. In this entry-level role, you'll learn to safely operate commercial collection trucks, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and service residential and commercial routes. Under close supervision, you'll follow DOT and company safety standards, handle containers and recyclables, and interact professionally with customers. Responsibilities

• Train to safely operate commercial waste collection trucks on assigned routes
• Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues
• Follow all DOT, company, and environmental safety policies and procedures
• Collect and load waste and recycling from residential and commercial customers
• Use route sheets and onboard systems to complete daily schedules on time
• Provide professional and courteous customer service on the route
• Properly secure loads and dispose of waste at approved facilities
• Maintain clean, organized truck and equipment
• Complete required logs and basic paperwork accurately
• Participate in ongoing safety meetings and CDL training sessions
