Lutheran Services Florida seeks a Preschool Infant Toddler Specialist to support high-quality care and education for infants and toddlers in our Head Start program. In this on-site role, you'll implement developmentally appropriate activities, monitor milestones, and help ensure a safe, nurturing classroom environment. You'll partner closely with families, teachers, and support staff to individualize care, support screenings and referrals, and meet program standards. Responsibilities

  • Provide daily developmental care and education for infants and toddlers in a preschool/Head Start setting
  • Implement and adapt age-appropriate curricula and activities that support cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development
  • Monitor, document, and report on children's growth, behavior, and developmental milestones
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and specialists to create individualized learning and care plans
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and hygienic classroom environment that meets all licensing and Head Start standards
  • Support screenings, referrals, and follow-up for developmental or behavioral concerns
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development to enhance early childhood practices
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations
