Local CDL Route Driver

Waste Connections is hiring a Local CDL Route Driver to safely collect and transport non-hazardous solid waste and recyclables on assigned routes. In this essential, year-round role, you'll operate late-model trucks, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards. You'll interact with residential and commercial customers, support environmental stewardship, and work closely with a team that values accountability, local decision-making, and long-term career growth with training, advancement, and strong benefits.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate local CDL truck on established residential and commercial routes
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and complete required logs
• Load, transport, and unload solid waste and recyclables to designated facilities
• Follow all DOT, company safety, and environmental regulations
• Provide professional, courteous service to customers and the community
• Report equipment issues, route hazards, and incidents promptly
• Work closely with dispatch and teammates to meet route schedules
• Maintain clean, organized vehicle and proper use of PPE

Required Skills

• CDL Class A or B truck driving
• DOT regulations and compliance
