Teacher I

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) seeks a Teacher I to support early childhood education services in our mission-driven programs. The Teacher I helps implement age-appropriate curriculum, guides daily learning activities, and ensures a safe, nurturing classroom for young children. This role includes observing and documenting child development, assisting with individualized learning plans, and promoting positive behavior and social-emotional growth. The Teacher I collaborates closely with families and team members, upholds Head Start and agency standards, and participates in ongoing training to support quality care and education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate instruction and activities aligned with program curriculum
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Observe and document children's development and progress
• Support individual learning plans for children with varying needs
• Communicate regularly with families about child progress and classroom activities
• Collaborate with teaching team and support staff to meet program goals
• Ensure compliance with Head Start, agency, and regulatory standards
• Participate in training, professional development, and staff meetings
• Maintain accurate attendance, health, and educational records
• Support classroom preparation, cleaning, and organization
