Electrician

Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Electrical seeks a skilled Electrician to support technology-driven projects across commercial and residential sites. In this role, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, panels, and smart infrastructure that support modern software-enabled operations. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, ensuring NEC and local code compliance, and performing preventive maintenance and detailed testing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document work in digital systems, and help implement energy-efficient, innovative solutions while upholding strict safety standards and high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, panels, and circuits for commercial and residential clients
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications for installations and upgrades
• Install and integrate smart devices, networked controls, and low-voltage systems
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and company safety standards
• Perform regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and clients to define project scope and timelines
• Document work performed, materials used, and test results in job management systems
• Recommend system improvements and energy-efficient solutions to clients
• Mentor junior technicians and support a culture of safety and continuous learning
