Unique Services, a dynamic and creative company in Los Angeles, seeks an HVAC Service Tech to support our HVAC Wholesale operations within the Technical & Maintenance department. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems for our wholesale clients, provide technical support, and assist with product troubleshooting and installation guidance. You'll collaborate closely with sales and customer service teams, ensuring prompt, high-quality service. Ideal candidates have strong HVAC troubleshooting skills, customer-focused communication, and a commitment to safety and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, condensers, air handlers, and package units.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including filter changes, coil cleaning, system inspections, and performance checks.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues using appropriate tools, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Provide on-site technical support and product guidance to contractors and customers purchasing equipment from the wholesale operation.
  • Start up and commission new equipment, verifying system performance and ensuring installations comply with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Accurately document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service tickets and digital systems.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, repair options, pricing estimates, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Technical & Maintenance department to identify recurring field issues and provide feedback to improve product selection and support materials.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of refrigerants, lockout/tagout procedures, and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain company tools, vehicle, and inventory in clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Participate in occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency service calls as needed based on customer demand.
  • Stay current on new HVAC technologies, wholesale product lines, and best practices through ongoing training provided by the company.
