Loader/Unloader

ConGlobal is seeking a Loader/Unloader to support intermodal and logistics operations at our Chicago, IL terminal. In this hands-on role, you will safely load and unload containers, trailers, and freight using forklifts and yard equipment while following strict safety procedures. You'll verify documentation, record container movements, and coordinate with drivers and dispatch to maintain yard flow. Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload intermodal containers, trailers, and freight using forklifts, yard tractors, and related equipment
• Inspect containers and trailers for damage, securement, and proper documentation before and after movement
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and terminal operating rules in a fast-paced yard environment
• Accurately record container numbers, seals, and movement details in handheld or terminal systems
• Coordinate with dispatchers, equipment operators, and drivers to prioritize moves and maintain efficient flow
• Perform basic equipment checks and report any defects, hazards, or service needs immediately
• Support housekeeping and yard organization to keep work areas clear, safe, and operationally efficient
• Assist with special projects, peak volume periods, and other terminal tasks as directed by supervisors
