Gate Inspector

ConGlobal is seeking a Gate Inspector to support safe, efficient intermodal operations at our terminal. In this role, you will inspect inbound and outbound containers, chassis, and trailers, verify documentation, and accurately record equipment condition and movements using handheld devices and terminal systems. You will check for visible damage, safety hazards, and compliance issues while coordinating with drivers and yard personnel to maintain steady gate flow. Success in this position requires a strong safety mindset, attention to detail, clear communication, and comfort working outdoors around heavy equipment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound and outbound containers, chassis, and trailers at terminal gates for damage, safety, and compliance.
• Verify and reconcile driver documentation, bills of lading, and equipment numbers.
• Record equipment condition, movements, and exceptions accurately in gate and terminal systems.
• Use handheld scanners, tablets, and cameras to document inspections and issues.
• Communicate with drivers, yard staff, and dispatch to maintain safe, efficient gate flow.
• Identify and escalate safety hazards, damage, or compliance concerns per company procedures.

• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions around heavy equipment and truck traffic.
