Diesel Mechanic Maintenance Trainer

Transdev seeks a Diesel Mechanic Maintenance Trainer to lead technical training for fleet maintenance teams supporting public transportation services. In this role, you'll design and deliver hands-on instruction in diesel diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance, while reinforcing Transdev's strong safety culture. You will assess mechanic skill levels, coach on troubleshooting and best practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards. Partnering with operations and maintenance leaders, you'll help improve fleet reliability and support onboarding, upskilling, and career development for technicians across diverse work environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver hands-on diesel and fleet maintenance training for mechanics
• Evaluate technician skills and create targeted training plans
• Coach mechanics on diagnostics, repair best practices, and safety procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and maintenance standards
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance leaders to improve fleet reliability
• Maintain training records, assessments, and certifications for staff
• Support new hire onboarding and upskilling of existing technicians
• Recommend tools, procedures, and updates to maintenance training materials
