Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician

Waste Connections is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician to keep our waste and recycling fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community. In this role, you'll diagnose and repair heavy trucks and equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, electrical, and brake systems. Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy trucks, hydraulics, and related equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on fleet vehicles
• Troubleshoot engine, electrical, brake, and hydraulic systems
• Document all repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities accurately
• Follow all safety, environmental, and company maintenance procedures
• Collaborate with operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
• Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and OEM specifications for repairs
• Respond to breakdowns and perform field repairs as needed
