Diesel Mechanic

Waste Connections seeks a skilled Diesel Mechanic for 2nd shift to maintain and repair our fleet of refuse trucks and heavy equipment. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems while following strict safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and related equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety inspections
• Troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, brake, and electrical systems
• Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and repair documentation
• Complete accurate repair orders and maintenance records
• Follow all safety, environmental, and DOT regulations
• Collaborate with drivers and operations to prioritize repairs
• Participate in on-call or overtime work as needed
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe shop work areas
• Support continuous improvement in reliability and uptime
