Resident Field Technician / Mechanic

Pape Material Handling Inc is seeking a Resident Field Technician / Mechanic to service forklifts and material handling equipment for customers in the Springfield, OR area. In this field-based role, you will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, perform preventative maintenance, and complete safety inspections on a variety of equipment. You'll travel to customer sites, manage your service truck, document work accurately, and communicate clearly with customers and dispatch. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts and material handling equipment at customer sites
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on equipment
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Document work performed, parts used, and maintain accurate service records
• Communicate repair status and recommendations to customers and dispatch
• Maintain company service vehicle, tools, and inventory in good order
• Follow all safety procedures and industry regulations on-site
• Support parts ordering and coordination with the shop as needed
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the Pape brand professionally
