Enrichment Specialist

The Enrichment Specialist at The YMCA designs and leads engaging educational and enrichment programs for youth in a mission-driven, community-focused environment. This role delivers hands-on learning experiences in areas such as STEM, arts, literacy, and social-emotional development, creating inclusive spaces where all participants feel safe, respected, and supported. The Enrichment Specialist collaborates with staff, families, and community partners to reinforce academic skills, promote healthy habits, and build confidence, while modeling YMCA values of respect, responsibility, caring, and honesty.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead high-quality enrichment programs that support youth development and academic success.
• Deliver engaging lessons and activities in STEM, arts, literacy, and social-emotional learning.
• Create an inclusive, safe environment that supports diverse learners and positive behavior.
• Assess participant needs and track progress to adapt instruction and support goals.
• Collaborate with Y staff, schools, and families to align enrichment with community needs.
• Model YMCA core values and foster strong relationships with youth and caregivers.
• Support program evaluation, data collection, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and program records.
• Participate in training and professional development offered by the YMCA.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA, school, and licensing safety policies and procedures.
