Service Tech 3-Refrigeration

CoolSys is seeking a Service Tech 3 - Refrigeration to provide advanced field service, maintenance, and repair for commercial and industrial HVAC-R systems. In this role, you'll diagnose complex refrigeration and mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and complete high quality installations and retrofits. You'll work directly at customer sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable system performance. As a senior-level technician, you will mentor junior techs, document service activities, and collaborate with project managers to support energy-efficient, sustainable solutions for customers across North America.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC-R systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and system tune-ups to maximize reliability and efficiency
• Install, retrofit, and start up refrigeration and related mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control issues using meters and diagnostic tools
• Ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Document service activities, parts used, and recommendations in service reports
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding findings, options, and system performance
• Collaborate with project managers and dispatch to prioritize and complete work orders
• Mentor and support junior technicians on technical procedures and safety practices
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent service requests as needed
