Worksite Benefits Consultant

Horace Mann is seeking a Worksite Benefits Consultant I to help K-12 educators and school employees understand and enroll in voluntary insurance and retirement solutions. In this client-facing role, you will conduct worksite presentations, one-on-one consultations, and benefits reviews to explain auto, home, life, supplemental and retirement products. You will build relationships with school administrators, coordinate on-site enrollment events, and ensure accurate applications and documentation. Collaborating with internal teams, you'll provide responsive service, maintain compliance with industry regulations, and support our mission-driven, educator-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Educate K-12 educators and school staff on voluntary insurance and retirement solutions.
• Conduct group presentations and one-on-one benefits consultations at school worksites.
• Coordinate and execute on-site and virtual enrollment events and benefits reviews.
• Develop and manage relationships with school administrators and key district contacts.
• Assess client needs and recommend appropriate insurance and retirement products.
• Ensure accurate completion and submission of applications and enrollment documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, policies, and industry regulations.
• Use CRM and sales tools to track activity, pipeline, and client interactions.
• Collaborate with internal service and underwriting teams to resolve client issues.
