ConGlobal seeks an Intermodal Equipment Operator to support safe, efficient container and trailer movements in busy rail and terminal operations. In this hands-on role, you'll operate yard hostlers, top picks, forklifts, or similar equipment to load, unload, and position intermodal units. Responsibilities include performing safety inspections, following strict procedures, communicating via radio or yard systems, and working closely with drivers and ground crews. Responsibilities
- Operate intermodal equipment to load, unload, and position containers and trailers in a rail/port terminal environment
- Inspect equipment and containers for damage, safety issues, and proper securement before and after moves
- Follow Con
- Global safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements in all yard and terminal operations
- Use yard management systems, handhelds, or radio communications to receive and complete move instructions
- Coordinate closely with ground personnel, drivers, and dispatch to ensure efficient container flow
- Perform basic equipment checks, fueling, and reporting of maintenance needs to supervisors or mechanics
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of moves, inspections, and exceptions
- Work in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing workload and terminal priorities
- Support continuous improvement, cleanliness, and organization of assigned work areas
- Participate in required safety meetings, training, and certifications to maintain compliance
