Roll Off Truck Driver

Waste Connections is hiring a Roll Off Truck Driver to provide safe, reliable waste collection and transport services. In this field-based role, you will operate roll off trucks to pick up, haul, and dump open-top containers for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. You'll perform pre/post-trip inspections, follow DOT and company safety standards, secure loads, and complete required route and service documentation. You'll work closely with dispatch and local teams, representing our safety-focused, community-minded culture while supporting essential environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Operate roll off trucks to safely collect, transport, and dump waste containers for residential, commercial, and industrial customers
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document vehicle condition per DOT and company standards
• Secure loads, operate roll off hoist and hydraulic systems safely, and ensure proper container placement
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies, including PPE use and defensive driving practices
• Communicate with dispatch and local operations to complete assigned routes efficiently and on schedule
• Accurately complete route sheets, tickets, and electronic logs for each job
• Provide professional, courteous service and represent Waste Connections positively in the community
• Report equipment issues, hazards, and incidents promptly to supervisors or maintenance
• Follow designated routes, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain productivity goals
• Support a safety-focused, team-oriented culture and participate in ongoing training and development
