Waste Connections is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for our Transportation & Warehousing fleet. In this full-time, daytime role, you will inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and refuse equipment to keep our operations safe and reliable. Responsibilities include performing PM services, troubleshooting engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems, completing DOT-ready inspections, and maintaining accurate repair records. Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and refuse equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance services and safety inspections
  • Troubleshoot and repair engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems
  • Prepare vehicles to meet DOT and company safety standards
  • Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and schematics to identify issues
  • Maintain accurate repair orders and maintenance records
  • Follow all shop, environmental, and safety procedures
  • Communicate equipment status and repair needs to supervisors
  • Support a clean, organized, and efficient shop environment
  • Participate in ongoing training to improve skills and certifications
