Ready Mix Driver

Knife River seeks a Ready Mix Driver to safely deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites around Bismarck. You'll operate and maintain mixer trucks, follow DOT and company safety standards, and ensure accurate loading, mixing, and slump. This role includes inspecting equipment, completing pre- and post-trip reports, and working closely with dispatch, plant, and jobsite crews. Ideal candidates are safety-focused, reliable team players who can handle physical work, variable weather, and changing schedules while representing Knife River professionally on every job.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to assigned jobsites
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation
• Load, transport, and discharge concrete while maintaining proper slump and mix quality
• Follow all DOT, company, and site-specific safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Communicate with dispatch, plant operators, and crews for efficient deliveries
• Maintain truck cleanliness and report maintenance or repair needs promptly
• Navigate and maneuver vehicle in tight or busy construction areas
• Adapt to changing schedules, routes, and weather conditions as needed

Required Skills

• CDL Class B or A with air brake endorsement
• Safe commercial driving practices
• Pre- and post-trip inspections
• Operation of ready-mix/construction trucks
• Concrete delivery and discharge control
• Understanding of concrete slump and mix consistency
• Basic truck and mixer maintenance
