Local CDL Driver

Waste Connections, a leader in integrated waste services, is looking for a dedicated Local CDL Driver to join our team. This role is critical in providing reliable and efficient waste collection services to our residential, commercial, and industrial customers. As a Local CDL Driver, you will operate company vehicles, focusing on safety and compliance with environmental regulations while representing our commitment to customer satisfaction and community well-being.

Responsibilities

• Operate waste collection vehicle to collect solid waste on assigned route within the municipal and county regulations.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure functionality and safety.
• Coordinate with the route manager to communicate customer concerns and ensure timely collection services.
• Adhere to company policies and local traffic laws to minimize risk and enhance safety on the road.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary condition of the vehicle, including the cab and truck body.
• Manage route documentation and provide service confirmation upon completion.
• Assist helpers in loading and unloading truck when necessary.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in operating commercial vehicles including roll-off, front, side, and rear-end loading trucks.
• Strong understanding of local traffic laws and road safety.
• Ability to perform physical requirements such as lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Capability to use service-related technology and basic navigation tools.
