Pipefitter Journeyman

CoolSys seeks a Journeyman Pipefitter Refrigeration professional to install, pipe, and start up commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC-R systems for retail, warehouse, and mission-critical facilities. In this skilled labor role, you will lay out, cut, thread, and braze piping; set and connect racks, condensers, and evaporators; pressure test, evacuate, and charge systems; and troubleshoot leaks and performance issues. You'll work from plans and schematics, uphold strict safety and quality standards, and collaborate closely with technicians and project managers in a hands-on, customer-focused environment with strong training and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Install and pipe commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC-R systems
• Lay out, cut, thread, and join refrigeration and fluid piping
• Set, align, and connect racks, condensers, evaporators, and related components
• Perform pressure tests, evacuations, and system charging per specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and technical schematics
• Troubleshoot leaks, performance issues, and mechanical faults in the field
• Follow all safety, code, and quality standards on job sites
• Collaborate with technicians, electricians, and project managers to complete projects
• Maintain tools, equipment, and accurate job documentation
• Support start-up, commissioning, and customer handoff of new systems
