GMS Company is seeking a CDL Delivery Driver to safely deliver building materials to commercial and residential job sites. In this field-based role, you will operate CDL trucks, load and secure wallboard, ceilings, steel framing, insulation, and related products, and perform pre/post-trip inspections. You'll work closely with warehouse and dispatch teams, follow DOT and OSHA regulations, and provide professional, customer-focused service. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL delivery trucks to transport building materials to commercial and residential job sites
  • Load, secure, and unload wallboard, ceilings, steel framing, insulation, and related materials using proper equipment and techniques
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required DOT and company documentation
  • Follow assigned delivery routes, schedules, and customer instructions while maintaining on-time performance
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to resolve issues on-site
  • Adhere to all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues promptly
  • Assist warehouse team with material handling, staging, and inventory as needed
  • Protect company assets and customer property by practicing safe driving, loading, and delivery methods
  • Maintain a clean, organized truck and ensure proper operation of liftgates, booms, or forklifts if applicable
  • Support a collaborative, team-focused environment focused on continuous improvement and customer service

Required Skills

  • CDL Class A or B truck driving
  • Safe material handling and load securement
  • DOT regulations and compliance
  • Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection
  • Operation of forklifts and/or boom trucks
  • Reading delivery manifests and route sheets
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Use of GPS and routing technology
