CDL B Operator

GMS Company is seeking a CDL B Operator to safely deliver building materials to commercial and residential job sites. In this field-based role, you will operate CDL B vehicles, load and secure wallboard, ceilings, steel framing, and insulation, and provide reliable, customer-focused service. You'll perform DOT-compliant inspections, follow OSHA and company safety standards, and work closely with warehouse and dispatch teams. Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL B commercial vehicles to deliver building materials to commercial and residential job sites
• Load, secure, and unload wallboard, ceilings, steel framing, insulation, and related products using proper material handling equipment
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required DOT and company documentation
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
• Assist warehouse team with staging, loading, and inventory tasks as needed
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, incidents, or delivery issues promptly to supervision
• Represent GMS Company with strong customer service, accountability, and teamwork on every route
