ARS/Rescue Rooter is seeking an HVAC Residential Service Tech to diagnose, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems in customers' homes. In this field-based role, you'll troubleshoot furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps, perform preventative maintenance, and recommend solutions that prioritize safety, comfort, and efficiency. You'll represent a national leader in residential services, supported by strong technical training, a safety-first culture, and clear paths for advancement into senior and leadership roles. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups to optimize system performance and safety.
  • Recommend repair or replacement options and explain findings clearly to homeowners.
  • Install or replace HVAC components such as motors, capacitors, thermostats, and filters.
  • Follow all safety, code, and company standards while working in occupied homes.
  • Document work performed, parts used, and system conditions in service software or forms.
  • Operate company vehicle responsibly and maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
  • Collaborate with dispatch and office staff to manage daily schedule and respond to priority calls.
  • Provide excellent customer service, build trust, and represent ARS/Rescue Rooter professionally on every visit.
