Truck Driver

GMS Company is seeking a dependable Truck Driver to deliver specialty building materials to commercial and residential job sites. In this transportation role, you'll safely operate CDL trucks, load and secure wallboard, ceilings, steel, insulation, and related products, and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries. You'll complete inspections, maintain DOT-compliant logs, and follow strict safety procedures. Working in a collaborative, growth-oriented culture, you'll support warehouse teams, interact with customers, and build a long-term career with a leading North American distributor.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks to deliver building materials to commercial and residential job sites
• Load, secure, and unload wallboard, ceilings, steel framing, insulation, and related materials
• Inspect vehicles and complete pre/post-trip reports, reporting maintenance needs promptly
• Follow DOT, company, and site safety policies and procedures at all times
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and electronic logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding orders and schedules
• Provide professional, courteous service and represent GMS Company at customer sites
• Assist warehouse team with material handling and staging when required
