CDL B Operator

GMS Company is seeking a safety-focused CDL B Operator to join our Transportation & Logistics team. In this role, you will operate CDL B trucks to deliver wallboard, ceilings, steel framing, insulation, and related building materials to commercial and residential job sites. Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation, load securement, loading/unloading materials, and completing delivery documentation. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, follow all DOT and company safety standards, and work closely with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers. Responsibilities

• Operate CDL B vehicles to safely transport building materials to commercial and residential job sites
• Load and unload wallboard, ceilings, steel framing, insulation, and related products using proper material-handling equipment
• Verify orders, complete delivery paperwork, and maintain accurate delivery records
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly
• Follow all DOT, company, and site-specific safety policies and procedures
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure timely, accurate deliveries
• Secure loads in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Assist warehouse team as needed with material staging, inventory, and yard organization
