Automotive Mechanic Level 2

Transdev is seeking an Automotive Mechanic Level 2 to maintain and repair transit buses and fleet vehicles that keep communities moving. In this role, you will perform inspections, diagnostics, and mid-level repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, ensuring safe, reliable service. You will complete preventive maintenance, respond to road calls, and accurately document all work. Working in a safety- and team-focused shop, you'll receive ongoing training, use modern diagnostic tools, and support a mission-driven public transportation provider.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair transit buses and fleet vehicles
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and service software to identify faults
• Complete brake, steering, suspension, and drivetrain repairs
• Document all work performed in maintenance systems and work orders
• Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures
• Collaborate with supervisors and technicians to prioritize repairs
• Support road calls and assist with emergency breakdowns
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
