Heritage-Crystal Clean LLC seeks an Environmental Technician to support parts cleaning, used oil collection, and industrial and field services. In this safety-focused role, you will handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste, operate service equipment, and ensure regulatory compliance at customer sites. Responsibilities include waste collection, packaging, and documentation; inspections; safe material loading and transport; and assisting with cleanup and tank work. You'll work closely with customers and teammates, follow strict safety and environmental procedures, and receive training to grow your career in compliance and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site collection, handling, and packaging of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Operate and maintain environmental service equipment such as pumps, tanks, drums, and parts washers
- Complete accurate service documentation, manifests, and inspection records for all materials handled
- Conduct routine inspections of customer equipment and service areas to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and spill-response protocols
- Communicate with customers regarding service needs, schedules, and regulatory requirements
- Load, secure, and transport materials in company vehicles following DOT and company standards
- Support field and industrial service projects including cleanup, tank cleaning, and related environmental tasks
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet service and performance goals
- Participate in ongoing training related to safety, environmental regulations, and company procedures
