Field HVAC Service Tech
R S Andrews of Tidewater Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, an ARS/Rescue Rooter network company based in Chesapeake, VA, is seeking a Field HVAC Service Tech to serve residential customers across the Tidewater region. In this field-based role, you'll perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of residential heating and cooling systems. Using advanced tools and technology, you'll troubleshoot system issues, explain options to customers, and deliver professional, reliable service while following all safety and code requirements. You'll work closely with dispatch and teammates, maintain a clean and organized vehicle, and participate in ongoing technical and safety training. Responsibilities
- Perform residential HVAC service, diagnostics, and repairs in the field across the Tidewater region
- Troubleshoot and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems to manufacturer and company standards
- Conduct preventive maintenance, system inspections, and performance testing
- Explain findings, options, and recommendations clearly to customers and provide excellent customer service
- Follow all safety policies, codes, and OSHA regulations on every job
- Use company tools, technology, and service software to document work orders and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with dispatch and team members to manage daily schedule and respond to priority calls
- Participate in ongoing technical and safety training to stay current with HVAC technologies
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, organized condition
- Represent the company professionally, respecting customers' homes and property
