Heavy Diesel Fleet Technician

Waste Connections is seeking a Heavy Diesel Fleet Technician to maintain and repair our refuse and transport vehicles in the Transportation & Warehousing industry. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy diesel trucks, hydraulics, and electrical systems while ensuring DOT and safety compliance. Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy diesel trucks and refuse fleet equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and safety checks on vehicles
• Troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, electrical, and braking systems using diagnostic tools
• Complete work orders accurately and maintain maintenance and repair records
• Collaborate with operations to minimize downtime and prioritize critical repairs
• Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations in the shop
• Order and manage parts and materials as needed for timely repairs
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current on OEM and industry standards
