Shop Technician

Papé Machinery Inc., a leading equipment dealer in agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, is seeking a Shop Technician to service and repair equipment in our wholesale trade operation. You'll diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrains, perform preventive maintenance, and prepare accurate service documentation. Working in a safety-driven, team-oriented shop, you'll receive strong technical training, exposure to top equipment brands, and opportunities for advancement while supporting key industries across the Western U.S.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues on agricultural and construction equipment
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance and uptime
• Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and schematics to troubleshoot complex equipment problems
• Document all work performed, parts used, and findings in work orders accurately and timely
• Collaborate with parts and service teams to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
• Follow all safety procedures, maintain a clean, organized shop, and properly use PPE and tools
• Support field technicians and customers with technical guidance when needed
• Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current with manufacturer standards and new equipment technologies
