Residential Heating&Cooling Service Technician

ARS-Rescue Rooter seeks a Residential Heating & Cooling Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems. In this field-based role, you'll perform troubleshooting, repairs, and tune-ups on furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners, explain options to customers, and ensure safe, code-compliant work. You'll represent a national leader in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services, with year-round work, ongoing technical and safety training, and clear paths for advancement into lead and supervisory roles in a safety-first, customer-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems.
• Perform start-ups, tune-ups, and preventive maintenance visits.
• Explain findings, options, and recommendations to customers clearly.
• Prepare accurate estimates, invoices, and service documentation.
• Ensure all work meets safety, code, and company standards.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in good order.
• Collaborate with dispatch and office staff to manage daily schedule.
• Participate in ongoing technical and safety training.
• Promote maintenance agreements and system upgrades when appropriate.
• Respond to after-hours or emergency service calls as assigned.
