Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high-quality private and group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you will teach students of varying ages and skill levels, create engaging lesson plans, prepare students for performances and school programs, and support instrument rentals and accessory sales. You will collaborate with store staff and school service reps, maintain accurate scheduling and progress records, and help build our lesson program while promoting an inclusive, student-focused learning environment aligned with our mission of supporting music education.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varied ages and skill levels
• Develop and follow structured, engaging lesson plans aligned with student goals
• Assess student progress and communicate regularly with students and parents
• Prepare students for recitals, performances, and school music activities
• Support store lesson scheduling, attendance tracking, and student records
• Collaborate with store staff and school service reps to grow the lesson program
• Advise students and parents on instrument rentals, purchases, and accessories
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, student-focused learning environment
• Ensure proper care, setup, and basic maintenance of classroom instruments
• Uphold Music & Arts policies, safety standards, and customer service expectations
