Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to join our retail lesson studio. In this role, you will provide private and small-group lessons to students of all ages and abilities, helping them build solid musical skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of music. You'll create engaging lesson plans, track progress, communicate regularly with parents, and prepare students for recitals and performances. Working closely with store staff, you'll help connect students with the right instruments, accessories, and learning materials, supporting our mission to expand access to quality music education in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop and follow lesson plans aligned with student goals and school curricula where applicable
• Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to students and parents
• Prepare students for performances, recitals, and auditions
• Collaborate with store sales staff to support instrument, accessory, and lesson package recommendations
• Maintain accurate student schedules, attendance, and progress records
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Participate in store events, recitals, and community outreach to support music education
• Care for and properly use school and store instruments and equipment
• Adhere to Music & Arts policies, safety standards, and customer service expectations
