Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high-quality private and group lessons in our retail store. You will teach students of varying ages and skill levels, customize lesson plans, prepare students for performances and school programs, and promote a love of music. Partner with store staff on scheduling, student retention, and recital events while maintaining accurate records and a safe, inclusive learning environment. This role offers the chance to support music education in your community while growing your teaching skills within a mission-driven retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small-group music lessons to students of varying ages and levels
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individual student goals and school needs
• Prepare students for recitals, school performances, and evaluations
• Communicate progress with students and parents on a regular basis
• Coordinate lesson scheduling and studio availability with store staff
• Maintain accurate attendance, progress, and payment records
• Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
• Collaborate with store team on events, recitals, and student recruitment
• Recommend instruments, accessories, and learning materials as needed
