HandledNow is seeking a reliable Local Truck Driver to support our transportation and warehousing operations in the Indianapolis area. In this role, you will handle daily pickup and delivery routes, moving freight safely and efficiently between customer sites and our facilities. Responsibilities include operating company trucks, loading and securing freight, completing pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintaining accurate logs and documentation. You'll work closely with dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure on-time deliveries while upholding strict safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate local trucks for daily pickup and delivery routes
  • Load, secure, and unload freight to prevent damage and ensure accuracy
  • Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations at all times
  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle logs
  • Communicate with dispatch and warehouse teams on schedules and updates
  • Provide professional, courteous service to customers at delivery sites
  • Verify delivery documentation, including bills of lading and manifests
  • Report maintenance needs, incidents, and delays promptly
  • Assist with basic freight handling in the warehouse as needed
  • Adhere to route plans while optimizing time and fuel efficiency

Required Skills

  • Commercial truck driving (local P&D)
  • CDL Class A or B operation
  • DOT and FMCSA compliance
  • Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting
  • Freight loading, securing, and unloading
  • Use of ELDs and digital/log systems
