Music & Arts seeks an Orchestral Strings Music Teacher to provide private and group violin, viola, cello, and bass instruction in our retail lesson studio. In this student-focused role, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, develop customized curricula, prepare students for recitals and school performances, and communicate progress to parents and directors. You'll collaborate with store staff to grow enrollments, support rentals and accessories, and uphold company teaching standards. Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group lessons on orchestral string instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass)
  • Design and adapt lesson plans to meet student goals and school curriculum needs
  • Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances
  • Assess student progress and provide clear feedback to students and parents
  • Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and progress records
  • Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment growth
  • Coordinate with school music educators and school service reps when appropriate
  • Promote proper instrument care, practice habits, and performance skills
  • Uphold Music & Arts teaching standards and studio policies
  • Participate in occasional events, recitals, or workshops hosted by the store
