Assistant General Counsel

We are currently seeking an Assistant General Counsel to strengthen our legal team, ensuring compliance and guiding our business through complex legal landscapes. This role is vital in delivering legal advice related to regulatory compliance, litigation, and transactional work, directly supporting our mission of providing energy management solutions responsibly and sustainably.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support across a variety of energy-related areas including regulatory compliance, environmental law, and corporate governance.
• Draft and review contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
• Manage legal risks by designing and overseeing the company's policy and position on legal matters.
• Liaise with external counsel and regulatory authorities, effectively representing the company's interests.
• Support the legal aspects of various corporate initiatives and projects, including mergers and acquisitions.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of FERC, NERC, and state-specific energy regulations.
• Proficient in corporate law, contract law, litigation, and compliance.
