Orchestral Strings Teacher

Music & Arts seeks an Orchestral Strings Teacher to provide high-quality violin, viola, cello, and bass lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. In this part-time role, you'll develop customized lesson plans, teach technique and music theory, prepare students for recitals and school performances, and track progress. You'll collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and events, while promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment that reflects our student-focused, service-driven culture and commitment to music education and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group lessons on orchestral string instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass)
• Develop and adapt lesson plans based on student goals and skill levels
• Teach fundamentals of technique, musicianship, and music theory
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances
• Track and communicate student progress to parents and guardians
• Coordinate with store staff on rentals, accessories, and scheduling
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Promote Music & Arts programs, events, and educational offerings
