Local Truck Driver
HandledNow is seeking a Local Truck Driver to support our transportation and warehousing operations in Indianapolis. In this role, you will operate company trucks on local and regional routes, performing safe, timely pick-up and delivery of freight for a variety of customers. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, secure loading and unloading, accurate documentation, and professional communication with dispatch and customers. You will uphold strict safety and DOT compliance standards while contributing to a culture of reliability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Safely operate local commercial trucks on assigned routes in compliance with DOT regulations
- Perform timely pick-up and delivery of freight to customer locations within the region
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips, reporting and documenting any mechanical issues
- Secure, load, and unload freight, ensuring accurate counts and damage-free handling
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery documentation, and electronic records as required
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers on schedules and issues
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Assist with basic freight handling and staging in the warehouse as needed
- Monitor traffic, weather, and road conditions to adjust routes when necessary

Required Skills
- Commercial truck driving
- CDL operation (Class A/B)
