Guitar Music Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a Guitar Music Teacher to provide engaging private and group lessons in our retail store. You'll teach beginner to advanced students proper technique, music theory, and performance skills, adapting instruction to a variety of ages and learning styles. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, tracking student progress, recommending instruments and accessories, and collaborating with store staff to support sales and events. You'll help foster a positive, inclusive, student-focused environment that encourages musical growth and supports our mission of expanding access to quality music education.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group guitar lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop lesson plans that cover technique, music theory, and performance skills
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, goals, and achievements
• Recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and music materials
• Collaborate with store staff to support recitals, events, and store programs
• Communicate regularly with parents and students regarding progress and goals
• Create a positive, inclusive, student-focused learning environment
• Ensure lesson spaces and equipment are clean, safe, and organized
• Support Music & Arts' mission of expanding access to quality music education
