Music Teacher
Music & Arts is seeking a Music Teacher for our retail location to deliver high-quality private and group lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans, teach fundamental through advanced concepts on your primary instrument, and prepare students for recitals, performances, and school ensemble participation. You will collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment, scheduling, and retention while fostering a positive, inclusive, and student-focused learning environment. Responsibilities include monitoring progress, communicating with parents, recommending appropriate instruments and accessories, and supporting in-store educational events and community outreach. This position is ideal for passionate musicians who love teaching and want to contribute to a mission-driven music retail and education environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
- Develop and follow lesson plans aligned with student goals and store education standards
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and school ensemble participation
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction and repertoire as needed
- Collaborate with store staff to support enrollment, scheduling, and student retention
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment in lesson studios
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress
- Support in-store educational events, workshops, and community outreach programs
- Recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and learning materials to students
- Maintain accurate lesson records, attendance, and required documentation
