Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and small group lessons in our retail lesson studio. In this role, you'll teach students of all ages and skill levels, creating engaging lesson plans that build technique, music theory, and performance confidence. You'll track progress, prepare students for recitals and school performances, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians. Working closely with our store and lesson staff, you'll help grow enrollments, support a welcoming, student-focused environment, and connect learners with the right instruments and accessories to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels in-store.
• Develop lesson plans that support student progress in technique, theory, and performance.
• Assess student abilities, set learning goals, and track progress over time.
• Prepare students for recitals, performances, and school-related music activities.
• Collaborate with store sales and lesson staff to support enrollment and student retention.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
• Recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and learning materials to support instruction.
• Ensure teaching studio and equipment are properly maintained and organized.
• Participate in occasional store events, workshops, or community outreach activities.
